About

award winning architects based in totnes, devon.

As Chartered Architects, in the market town of Totnes, Devon, we specialise in designing contemporary and traditional buildings within historic and sensitive landscape and coastal locations.

Our projects range from bespoke private house commissions, which form the mainstay of our architectural work, to design led solutions for housing schemes, visitor centres (including many for the National Trust), museums, schools, hotels, and historical listed buildings, throughout the South West, Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.

We enjoy working with individuals, groups and communities to shape the places where they live and work. The quality of our work has been recognised by the numerous awards that we have received over the years and underpins our philosophy of ‘giving our clients more than they expect’.

our experience

Sustainable Solutions

Our commitment to sustainable solutions is reflected in our design and construction processes, ensuring that our projects not only meet todays needs but also safeguard the future.

Sensitive Landscapes

We approach sensitive landscapes with responsibility and respect. Our practice centers on balancing architecture with the natural environment, ensuring that our projects enhance rather than disrupt these delicate areas.

Difficult Topography & Access

We view difficult topographies and challenging access conditions as opportunities for innovation and creativity. Our approach to such projects is rooted in meticulous planning and adaptive design.

Marine Environment

We recognise the delicate balance between development and environmental control in coastal regions. Our approach to marinas and marine environments is guided by a commitment to sustainability, innovation and community integration.

Out of the Box Thinking

Out of the box thinking is central to our role in any project and we approach this with playfulness, originality and intelligence seeking to understand our clients brief while challenging the status quo – consciously setting aside default design approaches and embracing creativity.

Delivering More

At Harrison Sutton Partnership our commitment to “delivering more” goes beyond simply meeting client expectations. We strive to exceed them by providing innovative, sustainable and high quality architectural solutions that add significant value to every project.
